What to Take to Libraries...
I use a suitcase on rollers filled with
books for my library visits. I put in two stacks of books with a
library bound edition of Molly's Magic Carpet set up on one end as
my stack "divider" so they won't all slide together. You
can use any bag or carryall to take your books, but I like wheels
:).
Judy Smith gave me the excellent idea of taking a three
ring binder with comprehensive information on everything we have to
offer Librarians and Media Specialists. Nearly all the documents are
things you can download and print from the EDC Educational Services link
of your MY UBAH page. Then make several copies at the copy shop so
you'll have multiples in your binder.
Judy also gave me the great idea of using a laptop
carrying case as a library service call carry-all. The one I
have has several nice pockets inside for catalogs, flyers, calculator,
post-its and such. I can keep it loaded so I always have it ready to
go with all the things I need for every library call.
Here's what we put in the binder:
-
Ruth Smith's "Getting
Usborne Books - How I Can Help" flyer
-
S & L order form
-
List of Usborne Books Accelerated Reader (AR) Titles
(check this link for the most up to date list: http://www.renlearn.com/store/quiz_advanced.asp
