Hostess Hints

*TALK UP YOUR PARTY IMMEDIATELY TO EVERYONE!*

*Invite everyone you know who has children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, deals with children, etc. You will be surprised that those you are hesitant to invite will most likely show up to your party.

*Deliver or mail invitations for guests to receive them 10 to 7 days in advance. Include a brief personal note on each invitation. Example: "Susie – I hope to see you!"
*Encourage everyone to bring a friend!
*For those invitees that will not be able to attend, make arrangements to collect outside orders from them ahead of time. There are order forms, flyers, and catalogs in your hostess packet to help you obtain outside orders. I also have a website available for your guests to view at www.ubah.com/H0240. Feel free to relay the website to all of yourguests but be sure they place their order with you directly – ask them not to order over the website so we can add their order to your show total.
*Out Of State Orders: If you know anyone out of state who would be interested in ordering from you, please give them my website listed above so that they may browse our product line. Please ask them to place their order directly with you so we can add it to your show total. PLEASE NOTE: Any orders shipped to another address other than the hostess address will require "special delivery" instructions along with a $4.00 fee in addition to the usual shipping charge. Sales tax charges are based on the delivery address.
*It is SO IMPORTANT you make reminder calls the day before your show. Just take a few minutes to call all of your guests who have said they will come to remind them of your show (date, time, & place). And also call those guests that you may not have heard from yet. Example: "Hi Susie! I hope you received my invitation regarding my book party. I am having it tomorrow, Tue. Night, at my house at 7:30 p.m. I hope you can make it! If you can’t be there I’ll be happy to stop by with a catalog for you to look at. Just let me know!" By just taking a few minutes to do this simple step, you will receive much higher attendance at your show plus higher outside orders from those not able to attend.
