Literacy for a Lifetime is a matching grant program partnering Usborne Books and More parent company Educational Development Corporation (EDC) with businesses, foundations, and individuals to support local educational institutions. Literacy for a Lifetime provides a 50% matching grant for schools, libraries and community education. For example, if a corporation or foundation awards a grant of $10,000 for a local school and the school uses those funds to purchase Usborne and Kane/Miller Books from Educational Development Corporation, EDC will match the grant with an additional $5,000 in products. (Minimum grant purchase $250)
Use grant funds to purchase books through Usborne Books & More, and receive 50% more in additional books of your choice. Over 2,000 Usborne & Kane/Miller titles to choose from for infants through high school age!
Grant recipients have full control over selections from the full EDC product line for both purchase and match titles. A Literacy for a Lifetime matching grant is an excellent way to expand your library collection, build a leveled book room, or provide supplemental classroom materials.
